About Meal Prep Nook
Cook once on Sunday, eat well all week. Simple weeknight meal prep for busy people who aren't chefs.
Why this site exists
Meal Prep Nook publishes plain-English guides about weeknight meal prep. The goal is simple: help you understand the options, avoid common mistakes, and choose something that fits how you will actually use it.
How we research and write
- Sources first. We work from manufacturer specifications, manuals, warranty terms, and reputable public sources, and we link to them where useful.
- No invented experiences. Unless an article explicitly says a product was used hands-on, it is a research-based guide, not a hands-on test.
- Dated and revisited. Every article shows a last-updated date. We revise guides when products, prices, or advice change.
- Corrections. Spotted an error? Tell us and we will fix it.
How we use AI tools
Some articles are drafted with the help of AI writing tools. Drafts are then fact-checked against sources and edited before publishing. AI is a writing aid here, not a substitute for research or a source of product experience.
How the site makes money
Right now the site doesn’t earn money: product links are plain links, not affiliate links, and there are no ads. In the future some links may become affiliate links, which would earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. That will never decide which products we recommend or how they are ranked. Details are in our disclaimer.
Where our food-safety advice comes from
Storage times, safe internal temperatures and cooling, thawing and reheating rules follow the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service and FoodSafety.gov. When our everyday tips go beyond that guidance (for example, which dishes keep their texture after freezing), we say so.
